Why One-to-One Meetings Matter: Improving Leadership and Team Performance
Having One-to-One meetings is really important because it helps leaders and their team members build a good connection between them.

Think of it as a sacred moment. During these meetings, the leader should focus on his/her team member and give full attention. Remember, it's not a status call or update call for that you will have scrum calls & etc. The one-to-one call is all about your team member.
At first, team members may not open up much, but if leaders show they care and gain their trust, team members will start to share more. So have patience and put effort towards it.
Do them regularly. Don't forget what your team member said, better write it because if you forget what your team member said your team member will feel you don't care.
Cancelling or rescheduling these meetings sends the message that they're not important. If a team member keeps cancelling, it may mean something is wrong and needs to be addressed. It might be that they are facing some personal issue or unhappy with you, work, or something else.
Can you share an example of how having regular One-to-One meetings has improved your relationship with a team member?
