The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts - Marcus Aurelius
The way in which you perceive events or life is important. Consider a situation where someone has been in an accident, and they could think about it in two ways:
1. I was in an accident and narrowly escaped death.
2. I was in an accident and was fortunate enough to survive.
Both interpretations are valid, but those who tend to focus on the negative aspects of the situation may initially dwell on the potential harm that could have occurred. Conversely, those who focus on the positive aspects tend to highlight their survival.

How do you typically react when faced with a challenging situation? Do you tend to focus on the negative or positive aspects of the situation?
