🤝 When you keep your promises, you strengthen your currency. Others trust you and they're more likely to follow your lead. It builds strong relationships, both personally and professionally.
📉 On the flip side, failing to keep your promises diminishes your currency's value. Trust slowly fades away and people may doubt your abilities as a leader.
🚀 If you're a new leader, focus on enhancing your currency's value. Don't start with making gigantic promises which no one can believe and most importantly you also don't know how much support you are going to get from your manager. Start with achievable commitments and fulfill them to earn your team's trust. This paves the way for them to wholeheartedly support your vision and plans.
👥 If your team members don't trust you, it's a sign to examine your track record. Identify unfulfilled promises and work on rectifying them, rather than making new ones that may not be trusted.
💭 Take a moment to reflect on your promises and commitments. What's your currency value? Are you maintaining it or letting it slip away?
