Never rescue the butterfly!
🦋 When we see a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, we feel the urge to help, but we know it's not the right thing to do. Similarly, we often want to assist people who are having a hard time. As leaders, it can be tough to see our team members struggle, especially when we already know the solution.

But the butterfly needs to struggle to become strong and survive. Its wings become strong through the struggle, and that's really important. If we help the butterfly and make things easy, its wings will be weak and it won't be able to fly. Eventually, it will die.
If we rescue our team members from their struggles, we're taking away their chance to grow and develop. Challenges help them become stronger, better and more creative.
💡 So, how can we support our team and use these moments to teach them?
🔑 Be a Coach - Pose thought-provoking questions that guide them toward discovering their own answers.
🔑 Be a Mentor - Provide guidance on the process of critical thinking that leads to the right solutions.
🔑 Be a Partner - Stand alongside them, fostering collaboration and innovation to find solutions together.
It's important to let our team members figure things out on their own while giving them the right environment to grow and become leaders. This way they become strong and resilient who can achieve great things, just like a butterfly that can fly. 🦋
