My 2024 Year End Reflection

As 2024 comes to an end, I feel grateful for this year. Only one day left and if I think about this year I can say this year is filled with growth, adventure and exciting new experiences.
This year, tried new things and learned a lot along the way:
- Paragliding for the first time 🚀
- Won national-level medals in swimming 🏅 (Silver & 2 Bronze)
- Started my gym business and invested in a cold-pressed oil business 💼
- Ran a marathon with my wife 🏃♂️
- Completed a half marathon in Leh at 11,562 ft altitude 🏃♀️
- Reconnected with old friends and made many new ones 🤝
- Completed a 52km Cyclothon 🚴♂️
- Experienced proper trekking for the first time 🌄
On the goals side, progress has been solid, even if not perfect.
1. Win a gold medal in swimming
- Won 🥈 1 Silver and 🥉 2 Bronze at the national level
- Took home 1st prize in the Aparna Sports League 🌟
2. Clear a loan and save 50% for retirement
- Cleared 1 loan but instead of fully focusing on retirement, I invested in a new business. No regrets though 📈
- My retirement fund is at 25% of my target. Steady progress!
3. Understand how travel influences my life choices
- This year involved a lot of travel, from trekking to family trips to solo adventures. I'm starting to see patterns emerge.
- Realizations:
* Reconnecting with friends feels amazing
* Making new connections brings energy
* Novelty fuels growth and happiness 🌟
2024 was about experiences, experiments and evolution. I may not have ticked off every goal, but the progress feels rewarding. Here's to more adventures and milestones in 2025!
