Life’s lessons understanding Through Feather, Brick and Truck analogy
In our life, we all face difficulties. Life gives us hints when things aren't going well and I found a great way to explain this - the Feather, Brick, and Truck analogy 🪶🧱🚚. I learned about it from Rob Dial, who hosts the Mindset Mentor podcast. My own life experiences have taught me valuable lessons using this analogy.
🪶 Feather Phase: Ignoring the Gentle Signs 🪶
At first, problems are like a light feather, softly touching us, easy to miss. But sometimes we ignore these early signs, thinking they're not important. 💨 Ignoring the feather might seem okay, but it's important to know that everything adds up over time.
🧱 Brick Phase: Time to Wake Up 🧱
As time passes, life might send a stronger message. The feather turns into a brick, hitting us a bit harder. 🧱 This is like a wake-up call, telling us to pay attention and deal with the problems. But sometimes, we still might ignore this stronger warning.
🚚 Truck Phase: Can't Ignore Anymore 🚚
And then comes the truck. 🚚 It's life's way of saying, "I've been trying to tell you something and now you have to listen." The challenges become impossible to ignore, hitting us hard. It's at this point that many start wondering why all these things are happening.
When my health got worse, I first felt weak, but I ignored it (🪶 Feather Phase). Then there was blood in my stool, which I also ignored (🧱 Brick Phase). When my haemoglobin level dropped to 9 and I fainted when I took steps, I had to go to the hospital—that was the 🚚 Truck Phase. I had to stay in bed for four months.
I hope you don't get to the 🚚 Truck Phase. Pay attention to the signals from your body or surroundings and make changes before it's too late. Otherwise, you might face big problems that are hard to fix, no matter how much effort you put in.
