Do you fear being exposed as a fraud or impostor, despite your achievements?
If you’re feeling like an impostor, don’t worry I am, too. We all are.
Here are 5 tips for handling impostor syndrome
1. Acknowledge that feeling.
Even those who have achieved great success in their field. Acknowledge that it is normal to feel that way.
2. Celebrate your successes.
Make a list of your accomplishments and remind yourself of them regularly. Celebrate your successes, no matter how small they may seem. This can help to build your confidence and remind you of your strengths and abilities.
3. Talk to someone about it.
Share your feelings with a trusted friend, mentor, or coach. This way you gain new perspectives and strategies for coping with impostor syndrome.
4. Reframe negative thoughts.
When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts, try to reframe them in a more positive light. Instead of thinking "I'm not good enough," try thinking "I may not know everything, but I am capable of learning and improving."
5. Practice self-care.
Taking care of yourself physically and emotionally can help to reduce stress and improve your overall well-being. This can include things like getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and practising relaxation techniques like meditation or yoga.
