Halfway Through 2024 - Reflecting on Achievements and Adjustments
š Excited to share some great news. I won 1 Silver medal and 2 Bronze medals at the Pan India Masters national event in the 35-39 years category. With almost half the year gone, it feels amazing to have achieved one of my biggest goals. Now, Iām reviewing my goals for the year.
Here are my New Year resolutions and progress so far:
1. Win a gold medal in a swimming competition
- š„ Won 1 Silver medal and š„ 2 Bronze medals at the national level.
2. Clear one loan and save 50% of my retirement fund
- ā Cleared one loan and shifted focus to optimizing freedom by clearing my other loan instead of saving for retirement.
3. Understand the link between my travel and life choices
- š Had one trip and planned two more (one with family and one solo). Realized I love giving surprises more than just visiting places.
Setting challenging goals is important to push me out of my comfort zone. But itās also okay if I donāt achieve them exactly as planned. What matters is the effort and progress.
I aimed for a gold medal at the district or state level but ended up winning Silver at the national level - an achievement Iām incredibly proud of, especially since I wasnāt an athlete in my younger years. This motivates me to keep striving for the next level.
Why am I sharing this?
1. To hold myself accountable.
2. To show that anything is possible if you are in the right direction. Whether you run, walk or crawl, youāll reach your goal as long as you keep moving forward in the right direction.
3. To remind you that itās okay to change goals if they no longer serve you. For example, I shifted my focus from saving for retirement to clearing loans for better mental peace. Follow what feels right for you.
Keep pushing and stay focused! šŖāØ
