Recently I am doing one on one with a team lead. He said he is struggling with one thing with his team. He is asking his team members to take the unit testing course but his team members are not doing it.

Then I asked him did you do that course? He said no.

Then I asked him “If I am coming late to every meeting but if I am telling you to be on time for the meetings then would you do it?”
He said no.

Then I told him there is a great quote from Gandhi “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”.
So whatever you want your team members to do be that change and then ask your team to do that or else no one will listen/follow.
